Fiona Paskoff is a filmmaker and photographer from Seattle, Washington. A storyteller at heart, she is drawn to stories exploring the relationship between identity and social institutions. Over the last three years, she worked on the Production Crew at Arizona Public Media where she assisted as a grip on field shoots, shot b-roll for news segments, and prepared high-profile guests for primetime television; including CNN and MSNBC. From 2023-2024, she was mentored by Peabody-winning filmmaker Lisa Molomot to shoot and edit several short documentaries for Desert Archaeology and Pima County; most notably a story examining the cultural impact of urban renewal on local Tucson communities. The documentary aired on Arizona Public Media's award-winning program "Arizona Illustrated" in June 2024. Fiona's work has been selected at numerous festivals throughout the years, and her most recent film SOMETHING BLUE garnered four nominations at Indie Short Fest in Los Angeles in June 2024; including "Best Women Short" and "Best Student Director (Female)". A recent graduate of the University of Arizona School of Theatre, Film & Television, Fiona is pursuing a career in cinematography while expanding her skills as a writer.
